Dr. Eltigani Ahmed

Dr. Eltigani Ahmed is a Pan-African executive leader and institutional strategist with over two decades of experience across sovereign finance, development finance, trade and project finance, and organizational resilience. His career spans central banking, regional and multilateral development finance institutions, and large-scale portfolio leadership across more than 40 African countries. He has led multi-billion-dollar portfolios, structured sovereign and institutional financing facilities, and engaged extensively with governments, central banks, and international financial institutions. Dr. Ahmed previously served as Head of Trade Finance at the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), where he led the expansion and globalization of the institution’s trade finance operations, growing the annual portfolio from approximately USD 300 million to USD 2.4 billion and establishing strategic collaboration frameworks with partner DFIs. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at the Trade and Development Bank (TDB). He began his professional career at the Central Bank of Sudan, serving as IMF Desk Officer and contributing to the establishment of the Central Bank’s Monetary Operations Unit. Dr. Ahmed is the Founder and the current Chief Executive Officer of Allied Resource Center Limited (ARCOIRED), under which he developed the Leading Resilience Index (LRI), a corporate resilience assessment platform, and founded Veteran Vanguard, a platform dedicated to retired and seasoned professionals. He is an author and thought leader in organizational resilience, crisis leadership, and institutional sustainability.
